Håndværkerfradrag (Danish tax deduction) 2026
Save up to DKK 9,000 per person with the Danish tradesperson deduction
Håndværkerfradrag is a Danish tax deduction for labour costs on home renovation, and we handle the paperwork. In 2026 homeowners can deduct up to DKK 9,000 per person for labour costs (not materials) on qualifying renovation work. The deduction is worth roughly 26%. Pay DKK 3,000 for labour and you save around DKK 780 in tax.
- Qualifying work: insulation and replacement of windows and doors, chimney, drainage and radon work, solar panels and heat pumps, and upgrades to heating and ventilation systems.
- Payment must be electronic: card, MobilePay or bank transfer. Cash does not qualify.
- Applies only to maintenance and renovation of an existing home, not to new construction.
We deal with the paperwork. Labour is itemised on the invoice, you get the documentation the claim requires, and we tell you plainly which of our services qualify.
